Pixel Press is hosting our first Game Jam, the Pixel Press Spring Game Jam sponsored by Contegix
On Saturday, June 14 from 9:30am-4pm we are opening our offices to kids ages 6-14 to join us for a day full of game creation and playing fun!
At thePixel Press Spring Game Jam your child will enjoy the experience of creating games with Pixel Press Floors and competing in groups for a number of prizes for best games created, best players, and most creative. To learn more about Pixel Press click here to view our videos.
The event will take place at the Pixel Press office, with check in at 9:30a and the day will end at 4p. You are welcome to stay and participate with your child, however all participants parents wil be required to sign a permission slip and photo waiver when the child arrives. Children will not be allowed to leave the premesis while they are at the event.
Children who arrive late can still participate but will be excluded from the competition and awards, and if your child needs to leave early we will do our best to accomodate but they may be ineligble for any awards.
We will provide food and drink throughout the day, and every particpant will recieve a game jam t-shirt.

Below is the schedule for the Spring Pixel Press Game Jam in St. Louis.
9:30-10a - check in and pass out T-Shirts
10-10:15a - Welcome
10:15-11:15a - Create level based around favorite super hero. (not competitive, just collaborative)
11:15-11:45a: Play each other levels and give feedback
11:45-12:30p Pizza for lunch
12:30-1:00p Explain creating a power 25 point level (super coins, keys, enemies, etc..) and break into teams
1:00-2:15p Work on power levels, edit, test and design and get published in the Arcade
2:15-3:15p Play and vote to determine winning teams!
3:15-4:00p Awards
